April 6, 2015 – Last Saturday, April 4th 2015, our own webmaster Lacey Crawford once again exhibited at First Saturday Arts Market in Houston’s Historic Heights district. For the first time ever, the director Mitch Cohen ran a Best in Show “contest” whereby two artists won. Lacey was one of the winners! She worked for months to produce her collection of octopuses, squid, flying animals, circuses, and Mad Hares and we applaud her for it.
Always a one-day event and always on the first Saturday of every month throughout the year, the First Saturday Arts Market has been in business for eleven years, making it the longest-running and most popular art market in Houston.
The First Saturday Arts Market hours are September through May, 11am until 6pm, June through August, 6pm until 10pm, on 540 W. 19th Street next to Gen’s Antiques.
